More About Dr. Ka'Ryn

Presently, she serves as the Executive Director of the San Mateo County Consortium for Adult & Career Education.  In this capacity, she leads a coalition of regional education, training, business and industry partners bridging the gap between employer demand for an educated and skilled workforce and the supply of workers with the necessary skills for a 21st century labor market.

 

In addition to workforce and career pathway development, she has extensive experience implementing public health disease prevention initiatives, particularly programs designed to improve health outcomes for youth and families. This work has included cross-sector collaboration with education, public health, and community organizations to design and scale prevention strategies that are culturally responsive, data-informed, and community-driven.

 

As a board member, Dr. Jackson is committed to strengthening organizational sustainability, advancing mission-aligned strategy, and ensuring programs reflect the lived experiences and needs of the youth they serve.  She is particularly passionate about creating pathways that empower young people to thrive academically, professionally, and holistically.

 

Her educational background includes:  A Doctorate Degree,  Human Services Organizational & Leadership Development, Capella University; a Masters of Business Administration, University of Phoenix.  She also holds numerous professional certifications which include: Corporate Facilitation, Next Gen Facilitation, DISC Behavioral Analyst & Trainer, Speaker, Trainer & Coach.
